Rezidor SAS report a rise in turnover
An increase in revenue per available room of 11% has led to strongly improved results for hotel operator, Rezidor SAS Hospitality.
The group, which operates the Radisson, Regent, Park Inn and Country Inn brands reported turnover of €587m (£401m) and pre-tax profit of €31.6m (£21.6m) for 2005.
This compares with turnover of €498.7m (£341m) and profit of €4.2m (£2.87m) the previous year.
The group signed 29 new hotel contracts and opened 37 new properties last year, as well as agreeing a worldwide licence agreement with fashion house Missoni.
This growth strategy, according to president and chief executive Kurt Ritter, is one of the company's "biggest assets".
Three-quarters of the group is owned by the SAS Group, while the remaining 25% is owned by Carlson Hotels Worldwide.
