Hotel and tours firm McColls of Argyll in administration
A total of 60 jobs are at risk after a hotel firm which also operated coach tours went into administration on Monday.
McColls of Argyll ](http://www.mccollshotels.com/)has two hotels, the 65-bedroom McColls hotel in Dunoon, Argyll, and the 62-bedroom Sherwood hotel in Torquay, Devon, as well the Torquay and Brunswick Bar in Wednesbury, West Midlands.
Meanwhile, the firm's sister company, McColls of Argyll Hotels and Tours also called in the administrators.
BDO business restructuring partners James Stephen and David Hill will deal with both companies.
The business employs 60 people, including 33 at McColls hotel, 22 at the Sherwood hotel and five at the Torquay and Brunswick bar.
The company claims on its website that 18,000 people travel with it every year.
Commenting on the administration, James Stephen said: "Unfortunately the economic climate and difficult trading conditions have significantly affected the industry. However, I am hopeful of securing a sale, which would protect these long established businesses as well as preserving jobs."
