Charlton House targets public catering sector

Charlton House is launching a new division targeting public catering.

Charlton House Restaurants will be led by the former head of Elior's visitor attraction business Digby Trout Restaurants, Nigel Hutson.

Hutson joins Charlton as divisional managing director.

Tim Jones, co-founder and chairman of Charlton House, said: "The market is crying out for new, quality operators within the public catering sector, and we are in a strong position to take advantage of the many opportunities available by targeting new prospects, such as museums, art galleries and other cultural, historical and heritage sites."

Hutson added: "Our goal for Charlton House Restaurants is to become the new benchmark for the public catering sector."

Charlton House runs contracts at London Zoo, The Treasury and the corporate headquarters of T-Mobile. It had turnover last year of £67m.
