D&D London makes redundancies
Restaurant group D&D London has made its sales and marketing director and head of press and public relations redundant in a cost cutting move.
Sales and marketing director Judith Speller and head of press and public relations Alpana Deshmukh leave the company tomorrow (29 February).
The company, which reopens London's Launceston Place in March, is in consultation on a third position also in its internal communications department.
Des Gunewardena, chairman and chief executive of D&D told TheTimes: "Yes, we are looking at our central overheads, as a lot of people are, but, in the context of the company, the number of job losses is insignificant."
Caterersearch understands that the restaurant group will now hire public relations agencies on a project-by-project basis.
Staff at D&D's restaurants, which include Skylon and the Orrery, are not thought to be affected.
