Gordon Ramsay's LA restaurant debuts with one Michelin star
Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in Los Angeles has debuted with one star in Michelin's guide to Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
The celebrity chef's eponymous restaurant at the London West Hollywood gained the accolade just five months after opening and brings Ramsay's total number of Michelin stars to 11.
Los Angeles now features 310 Michelin-rated restaurants including 16 holding one, and four holding two stars.
However, the city still lags behind other US destinations as it has no establishments with the top accolade of three Michelin stars.
In Las Vegas iconic French chef Joël Robuchon retained the three stars his eponymous restaurant at the MGM Grand Hotel gained last year.
The move sees his eaterie remain the only three-starred establishment in gamblers' heaven.
Las Vegas now has 140 restaurants featured in the Michelin guide, including 13 with single stars and three two-starred establishments.
Last week, Thomas Keller's French Laundry in California retained its three stars in Michelin's guide to San Francisco, Bay Area and Wine Country for the third year running.
The restaurant in Napa Valley, where British chef Claire Clark is head pastry chef, remained the only establishment in the guide with the top accolade of three stars.
