Entry deadline nears for Scottish Chef of the Year competition
Those wishing to take a shot at becoming the next Scottish Chef of the Year have until 7 January to get their entries in.
The Knorr Scottish Chef of the Year 2008-2009, which carries a £1,500 top prize, will be decided at ScotHot 2009 at the SECC in Glasgow in March.
Those wishing to compete must submit a well-balanced four-course menu for four covers using Scottish produce by the January deadline date. Last year's (2007) winner was Pamela Fowlis from Adam Smith College, who was the competition's first female winner.
Pre-show heats will take place at Adam Smith College in Fife and the final ten chefs invited to a grand final at ScotHot on 4 March.
