Wozza's former pub the Lamb reopens under new owners
Antony Worrall Thompson's former pub the Lamb at Satwell in Oxfordshire has reopened under new ownership.
The pub near Henley-on-Thames was closed in February after the celebrity chef's business, AWT Restaurants, collapsed into administration forcing him to shut four of his restaurants.
The Lamb at Satwell has been taken over by local couple Chris and Emma Smith together with business partner Nick Gross.
Gross previously worked for the Marco Pierre White Restaurants Group and set up the Clerkenwell Dining Room and the Devonshire House in London.
The team reopened the pub earlier this month and retained head chef Lukasz Ostaszewski along with his kitchen brigade. A new restaurant manager will be appointed next month.
The Lamb, which is housed in a 16th century country pub, comprises a 45-seat restaurant with a large garden seating more than 100 diners.
"We tried to reopen the pub as quickly as we could to retain the loyal local customer base," Gross told Caterersearch.
"We will be launching a new menu on 1 April and in the summer will be offering barbecues and hog roasts in the garden."
