Gordon Ramsay confirms new restaurant opening in the City
Gordon Ramsay has confirmed that he is to open a restaurant at the One New Change development in the City of London.
The celebrity chef's company, Gordon Ramsay Holdings (GRH), has exchanged contracts for a site at the office and retail scheme, which is located close to St Paul's cathedral. High end leisure specialist Restaurant Property brokered the deal for GRH.
The move makes Ramsay the second high profile chef to open a restaurant at One New Change after Jamie Oliver](http://www.caterersearch.com/Topics/1596/jamie-oliver.html), who will open Barbecoa, a joint venture with US chef and barbeque enthusiast Adam Perry Lang, in the autumn.
Meanwhile GRH's yet-unnamed restaurant at the development is likely to be based on the group's successful Plane Food concept at Heathrow's Terminal 5. It is understood that the company has plans to roll out the new concept across London if successful.
A spokeswoman for GRH told Caterer: "[We can] confirm we have exchanged on One New Change and will be making further announcements in due course."
Other hospitality operators set to open outlets at One New Change include upmarket burger chain Byron, Nando's and Zizzi.
