Theresa Maw appointed GM at London Marriott County Hall
Teresa Maw has been appointed general manager of the five-AA-star, 2006-bedroom London Marriott Hotel County Hall.
She is returning to the property where she was resident manager as part of the opening team, when the hotel was converted from the former offices of the Greater London Council to a hotel, 13 years ago.
"I am really excited to come back to what is an iconic building and help take the hotel to the next level," said Maw, who until recently was general manger of London's five-AA-star, 356-bedroom Chancery Court hotel.
She decided to remain with Marriott International after the owners of Chancery Court, New World Hotel Management, announced that it was going to end its management agreement with Marriott and drop the Renaissance branding.
Matthias Roeke, originally from Germany, is the new general manager at the Chancery Court, which is now being managed directly by its owner.
Maw, who replaces Stuart Bowery - now general manger at Grosvenor House, a JW Marriott hotel - will soon oversee the introduction of a new restaurant concept at London Marriott Hotel County Hall. Earlier this week she was appointed as a new member of the Master Innholders.
