Just Opened – Banca, London

Housed in a former NatWest bank in Mayfair, this is the latest restaurant venture from former A-Z director Giuliano Lotto and Zuma founders the Waney brothers, who also run Aurelia together. The menu celebrates the food of northern Italy, with executive chef Marzio Zacchi.

Menu Italian - typical dishes include fresh vegetable minestrone soup with pearl barley and Fontina cheese-toasted croûton; saffron risotto "al salto" gratinée with Asiago cheese; veal cutlet Milanese and sautéd mixed courgettes, garlic and parsley; and lemon Capri sponge cake, crunchy lemon zest and limoncello foam.
