Tom Aikens among those joining Qatar Airways' star line-up of chefs

Tom Aikens (pictured), Nobu Matsuhisa, Vineet Bhatia and Ramzi Choueiri have joined the line-up of chefs creating menus for Qatar Airways.

The collaboration came about as the airline strives to "set a new standard for dining in the sky" with all international cuisine represented.

Aikens, who recently relaunched his eponymous Chelsea restaurant after a six-month refurbishment, will deliver his own brand of European dishes.

Japanese-born Matsuhisa will bring his Asian fusion cuisine to the Qatar Airways Culinary World Menu, while Bhatia and Choueiri will respectively add their Indian and Middle Eastern food to the mix.

Qatar Airways chief executive officer Akbar Al Baker said the collaboration demonstrates the airline's commitment to "redefining the passenger experience by offering a truly five-star service".
