Centerplate bolsters marketing team with new appointment
Sports and leisure caterer Centerplate has appointed Laura Castro to its marketing team.
She is tasked with supporting the company's in-venue service and sales teams to fulfill the brand promise of 'making it better to be there'. She will manage consumer research, event marketing, point-of-purchase promotions, and communications campaigns to engage guests and enhance client returns.
Commenting on the new appointment, Centerplate's chief operating officer Adrian Dishington said: "Centerplate is investing in the tools and talent that have proven successful for our clients in world-class venues around the globe, and this is another step in our strategy to drive profitable growth for our clients."
Castro has previously worked in Canada, USA, Latin America and Spain as well as the UK. Most recently, she was working in a freelance capacity following her relocation to the UK in 2013 after spending two years in Spain as a marketing and communications manager with Alunter - a Spanish-based retail and public service venue construction business.
