Florence Knight to leave Polpetto

Polpetto head chef Florence Knight is to leave the restaurant founded by Polpo owners Russell Norman and Richard Beatty.

The celebrated chef, who took on a role as chef columnist for the Sunday Times in April, has headed up the restaurant since 2010 where she served a daily changing seasonal menu that earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

Soho restaurant Polpetto closed its doors on 1 August and will reopen with a new head chef on 10 August serving the Venetian influenced sharing plates it was known for when it first opened.

Dishes such as anchovy and chickpea crostini and spicy meatball pizzetta will return along with rabbit pappardelle and zucchini fries.

Josie McLean will continue as restaurant manager.
