Giggling Squid opens 19th restaurant
Thai restaurant chain Giggling Squid has opened its 19th site in Wokingham.
The 135-cover site will have wooden floors, exposed beams and reclaimed street lamps on the wall and the menu will include seafood, curry, stir fry, meat dishes, rice and noodle options.
For lunch, diners can choose from the tapas menu, which features duck in baby leaf canapes; seared scallops with spicy lime dressing; Thai pork dumplings; and papaya salad. Lunch tapas tasting sets, the Hungry Squid, the Wealthy Squid or Two Giggling Squids, will be on offer from £9.75 and features four dish combinations.
From the bar, diners can choose from a wine and cocktail list including a passion fruit bellini or a Thai gin and tonic made from London Dry gin infused with kaffir lime leaf and ginger.
Giggling Squid opened its first site in 2009 and currently operates venues in Brighton, Hove, Tunbridge Wells, Henley-on-Thames, Reigate, Stratford-upon-Avon, Marlow, Horsham, Sevenoaks, Salisbury, Bristol, Guildford, Billericay, Esher and Bury St Edmunds, Berkhamsted, Norwich, Warwick, and Wokingham.
