Westgate Oxford confirms four further restaurants

The Westgate Oxford Alliance has secured four more restaurants for its £440m Westgate Oxford development, due to open in October.

Shawa Lebanese Grill, Rola Wala, Nando's and Benito's Hat are the latest additions to the list which includes Polpo, Cinnamon Kitchen, Dirty Bones, the Breakfast Club, Pizza Pilgrims and the Alchemist.

They will join Sticks'n'Sushi, Comptoir Libanais, Le Pain Quotidien and Shoryu Ramen at the shopping centre. Several of the restaurants will be opening at the venue's roof garden (pictured).

The 800,000 sq ft site will house more than 25 restaurants and cafés, and more than 100 retailers, anchored by a 140,000 sq ft John Lewis. The shopping centre is being developed by the Westgate Oxford Alliance, a joint venture between Land Securities and the Crown Estate.

Russell Norman, co-owner of Polpo, said: "We're so lucky to have found such a central spot through Westgate Oxford, tucked amongst the historic castle and towering spires. We can't wait to open the doors and welcome the city in for some good food, good wine, old-school hospitality and of course a Venetian spritz or two!"
