Gold Service Scholarship 2016 winner Jennifer Santner joins Sketch

Jennifer Santner, the 2016 Gold Service Scholarship winner, has joined Sketch in London Mayfair as restaurant manager of the two Michelin-starred Lecture Room & Library.

Santner was restaurant manager of the Rhubarb-operated Fenchurch restaurant at London's Sky Garden when she won the award. She has also previously worked at Galvin at Windows, the Como Metropolitan London and the Athenaeum.

Commenting on her new role, Santer told The Caterer: "The first month has been going really well and I'm really happy. The team is amazing, they're really professional. The Gold Service Scholarship gave me that confidence to even consider applying for such a big role, and I learned a lot at Fenchurch and I'm thankful for everything they taught me."

Meanwhile, Stephanie Beresforde, the winner of this year's Gold Service Scholarship, has moved to Jean-Georges at the Connaught, opening soon at the London hotel, taking up the position of assistant restaurant manager. She previously had the same role at Rick and Jill Stein's Seafood restaurant in Barnes, south London.
