Four Seasons' Vicky Klinkhammer named Receptionist of the Year

Vicky Klinkhammer from the Four Seasons Hotel Park Lane London has been named Receptionist of the Year by the AICR UK.

She won the trophy having beaten Syneka Lewis from Gleneagles hotel in Auchterarder, Perthshire, into second. Third place was Aiden Lutzmann from the Beaumont hotel in London.

All three receptionists were recognised at a ceremony held at the Cavalry & Guards Club on Piccadilly, London.

Klinkhammer will now go on to compete for the David Campbell Trophy, organised by the AICR (Amicale Internationale des Sous Directeurs et Chefs de Réception des Grand Hôtels) in memory of the former chef de reception at the Ritz Hotel, Paris.

Some 14 receptionists were originally selected after an application process, before interviews that refined the group to six. There were then final interviews and role play scenarios with industry leaders at the Cavalry & Guards Club before the final ceremony.

All finalists are able to join the AICR mentor programme and are offered junior membership to the AICR, while the winner Klinkhammer receives a week of
cross training at a four or five-srat hotel of her choice in the UK and the chance to attend the international AICR competition, being held in London in 2019.
