Brakes has expanded its Keystone brand to more than 40 products, covering all aspects of kitchen cleaning. The range was developed by Ecolab in association with Sysco, Brakes’ parent company, and encompasses everything from dishwashing and disinfection to floor and washroom cleaning. The products have colour-coded labels and clear instructions, making them easy to use for staff and reducing training time. Many products are also designed to reduce water and energy use.

Kärcher UK has introduced the K-Mop 46, a lightweight automatic scrubber dryer for cleaning hard floors in compact, high-traffic and heavily cluttered spaces. The upright unit features a 46cm cleaning width and a height-adjustable handle with LED controls showing information such as eco mode, the water level in the 4-litre tank and the 36V battery status.

NCCO International has launched the DateCodeGenie Mini, a compact version of its label printer. The portable unit can be used to print ingredient lists, pricing, expiry dates, barcodes and QR codes from an online portal. The printer is cable-free and runs on Android with a 6.7” touchscreen. Each device includes a 7,500-label starter-pack with 5,000 50 x 25mm labels and 2,500 50mm x 50mm labels.

Monika has introduced an upgraded version of its ETI-made Monika Thermapen, with an integrated screen to display temperature readings. Each probe has a unique NFC tag, which means multiple Thermapens can be paired to a Monika Smart PA and readings can be logged on Monika’s auditable central dashboard, eliminating the need for paper records. The probes can also be used to check temperatures without logging.

2Pure Products has launched OdorBac Air, an air-freshening system with odour-neutralising technology to deliver freshness without masking. Several varieties are available: the compact Eko plugin has four scent intensities and can cover up to 75 cubic metres; the battery-powered free-standing or wall-mounted Fresha has 10 scent intensities and covers up to 90 cubic metres; the Fresha XL for larger washrooms covers up to 150 cubic metres; the free-standing cylindrical Cilindro with Bluetooth connectivity has 20 scent intensities and covers up to 1,200 cubic metres; and the Cubana is for large spaces up to 2,700 cubic metres.

Foodservice Equipment Marketing (FEM) is supplying the Hamilton Beach Commercial Container Rinser system, a fast, simple and hygienic way to clean blender containers and accessories. The system is suitable for high-pressure environments such as smoothie bars or quick-service restaurants. The system connects to a standard tap and uses a pressure-activated stainless steel spray nozzle. Operators invert the blender container, press down and the system delivers a powerful, even rinse in seconds. The unit is made from break-resistant polycarbonate and is compatible with the Hamilton Beach Commercial blender range.
