The Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers (ALMR) has seen its membership increased by almost 20% after 16 new companies joined the organisation in the first four months of 2011.
The companies are:
â- Atmosphere Bars (28 sites nationwide)
â- Be At One (10 in London)
â- Capital Pub Company (29 sites in London and the South East)
â- The Chapman Group (34 sites in Sussex)
â- Gordons Wine Bars (one in London)
â- Gresham Inns (four sites in London)
â- Indigo Pub Company (12 in East Sussex)
â- Oakman Inns & Restaurants (six in Hertfordshire)
â- Quicksilver Management (three in Staffordshire)
â- PLS Management (two in Surrey)
â- Spirit House (three in Berkshire)
â- Snug Bars (four in Cambridge)
â- Startmore Pub Company (119 pubs nationwide)
â- Stonegate Pub Company (333 nationwide)
Ian Payne, chairman of Stonegate, said: "Stonegate is excited to be a new and significant player in the sector - and it's logical to be joining ALMR as the natural home for managed operators."
Nick Bish, chief executive of the ALMR, said: "This significant addition to membership is really gratifying. The ALMR works to add value to the collective voice of great companies, small and large, North and South, and each with their special place in the market. The experience, passion and energy of the individual operators all help convince Government that we are a mature and valuable industry well worth recognising and supporting."
