Aramark gets wind of new offshore contract

Aramark has signed a new contract to provide offshore catering, hotel services and equipment to 30 engineers who are installing wind turbines off the Welsh coast. The men carry out the work from a mobile sea platform.

The new venture marks the first phase of a Government-backed wind energy project that will eventually see 500 wind turbines installed around the UK coast. Aramark's three-month rolling contract, worth £75,000 a year, is with German company Muhibbah Marine Engineering.
