Awards will highlight best practice among hospitality employers
Next month sees the launch of Caterer & Hotelkeeper's inaugural Best Places to Work in Hospitality Awards, which aim to highlight and reward employment best practice in the industry.
Entering the awards offers hospitality operators the chance to attract better-qualified job applicants and build loyalty and motivation among their existing workforce by being seen as an employer of choice. Employees, meanwhile, will be better placed to make informed decisions on their next place of work.
Our expert judging panel - which includes representatives from the British Hospitality Association, Springboard UK and the HCIMA - will be looking for best-practice examples of companies training, valuing, motivating, developing, rewarding and retaining their staff.
As well as covering the core sectors, such as hotels, contract caterers and bars and restaurants, there will be categories for best supplier and public-sector employer, along with best graduate recruiter, best individual unit and best employer overall.
Categories have also been subdivided by number of sites to represent both small and large enterprises.
The awards, which are sponsored by recruitment firm Lister Charles, will be formally launched in the first week of May.
