Bath courtrooms to become restaurant
Browns is to open a restaurant at the former Orange Grove police station and magistrates court in Bath.
The chain has finalised a lease on the disused premises, and is to spend about £1.5m on refurbishment with the aim of opening a 140-seat restaurant and bar next February. It will be the eighth restaurant nationwide.
Operations director Gary Strivens said: "We hope to use the authentic fabric of the old courtrooms, much like we have at the old Westminster County Court in St Martin's Lane."
