Beijing to host 10th Global Travel & Tourism Summit

China will host the 10th Global Travel & Tourism Summit, it has been announced.

It was decided that Beijing, the Chinese capital, would be the ideal location for the event as, over the next 10 years, China is expected to have the fastest-growing economy in the world and to be the leader in travel and tourism growth.

Travel and tourism in China accounts for 9.8% of the country's GDP and 60.8 million jobs, according to the World Travel & Tourism Council's 2009 economic research.
