Best hotels in Scotland unveiled
St Andrews Bay Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa has been named Scottish Hotel of the Year in Scotland's largest hospitality and hotel awards.
The Scottish Hotel of the Year Awards, organised by HotelReviewScotland.com, were held at the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh on Sunday (17 April).
More than 11,000 public votes were cast online before a panel of experts from the Scottish hospitality industry gave their verdict.
Other awards went to McMillan Hotels, which was named Scottish Hotel Group of the Year and Scottish Hotelier of 2005 went jointly to Marie McLaughlin of Ballachulish and Peter Taylor of Town House Hotels.
Scottish Hotel Manager of the Year was Lizzy Kelk of the Malmaison Hotel, Edinburgh.
The Roxburghe Hotel and Golf Course was named Scottish Country House Hotel of the Year and Glenapp Castle in Balantree named the most luxurious.
Scottish Hotel Chef of the Year went to head chef Matthew Gray of Inverlochy Castle, Fort William.

- Scottish Romantic Hotel of the Year 2005 - Pool House Hotel in Poolewe
- Scottish Family Hotel of the Year 2005 - Crieff Hydro Hotel and Resort, Crieff
- Scottish Wedding Hotel of the Year - Balbirnie House Hotel, Markinch
