BII launches 2012 Budget calculator
The British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) has released its new 2012 ‘budget calculator', designed to help pubs calculate the effects of the latest Budget on their business.
The calculator uses Microsoft Excel, and has been developed by Trevor Brown CBII, the BII's business doctor and managing director of SureStock4bars. Brown has created a range of calculators to help with such things as accounts, stocktaking, investment forecasting and cashflow.
Peter Thomas, chief executive of BII, said: "I am extremely pleased to be able to announce the availability of this new calculator, and my thanks to our business doctor Trevor Brown. This is a time when the whole industry needs all the help and support we can give, so we are really pleased to be able to offer this to all those working in the industry."
The new calculator enables licensees to easily re-price products in line with the announced rises in duty in yesterday's Budget and/or supplier increases.
Brown said: "I do hope that non-members using the workbook will take this opportunity to join BII and take advantage of the huge range of other benefits available. Failing that, perhaps they could make an appropriate donation to the Licensed Trade Charity - there are details about how to make a donation on the BII's website"
The new workbook can be found on the BII's website.
