Bramwell puts nine pubs up for sale

Bramwell Pub Company has put nine sites up for sale with property agent Christie & Co.

Bramwell is the operating company formed after the restructuring of Barracuda pub company, and operates about 170 pubs.

All but one of the properties up for sale are free-of-tie leases.

The nine pubs are located in Crewe, Southport, Ayr, North Shields, Hull, Staines, Newbury, Port Talbot and Swadlincote (the freehold exception where Christie & Co is seeking offers in excess of £200,000).

Neil Morgan, director and head of pubs for Christie & Co, said: "These nine pubs are indicative of a marketplace which has seen many attractive offerings placed for sale recently. With the pub sector boosted by the recent Budget announcements, I'm sure these nine pubs will prove enticing propositions for potential investors."

The nine Bramwell Pubs offered to the market are:

â- The Phoenix, Southport
â- The Malt Cross, Ayr
â- The Pow Burns, North Shields
â- The Barracuda Bar, Hull
â- The former Town Hall, Staines
â- The former George and Pelican, Newbury
