Brasserie caters for private flights

The Warehouse Brasserie in Southport has launched a catering service for private and corporate aircraft operators. The service, called Warehouse on Board, serves Blackpool, Liverpool and Manchester airports.

Its first customers are Jaymax Air Services and Net Jets. Head chef Marc V‚rit‚ said the restaurant makes about four deliveries a week. Flights accommodate between two and 10 passengers.

VIP flyers enjoy meals such as chicken and foie gras parfait with fig chutney and mini-brioche, seared Whitby cod with rosemary butter, and chocolate truffle cake.

Vérité has also started a bakery delivery service to hotels in Merseyside and Lancashire. Together with the in-flight meals, it is estimated that it will increase the restaurant's annual turnover by 10%.

The 150-seat Warehouse Brasserie opened in 1996 and has been awarded the Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand for the past three years.
