Burger King unveils worldwide new look
Burger King has announced changes which it says will mean faster kitchens, improved drive-throughs, and computer games in its 10,200 restaurants worldwide.
Drive-throughs will have clearer sound systems and menus, and "courtesy zones" where customers can pull up at an intercom and make extra requests, such as more napkins or ketchup.
Inside, what the company describes as "virtual fun centres" will have computer games. Kitchens will have new grills, while an expanded menu and a thicker burger are also being planned.
Other changes including new uniforms, packaging and a red, yellow and blue logo were unveiled at a restaurant in Reno, Nevada, last week. Burger King has spent three years doing research with consumers using two restaurants in Florida as test sites.
Work starts this month on transforming 43 restaurants in Orlando, Florida, and the new look will eventually be exported to Europe.
