Capital Pub Company's revenues jump 23%

London-based pub firm The Capital Pub Company has seen revenues climb 23% in the first 44 weeks of the financial year, with the "bulk" of the estate trading well even in December's freezing weather.

The company has 32 sites around London, the latest of which is the Goldsmiths Tavern in New Cross, which is currently playing host to pop-up restaurant #MeatEasy.

Capital said it was confident about the future and was targeting sites for further acquisition.

Clive Watson, chief executive of Capital Pub Company, said: "Current trading remains strong and we remain confident of the resilience of the London market, which continues to be buoyant. In addition, we continue to grow our quality portfolio of iconic London pubs, progressing towards our stated strategy of building a 45-50 strong pub estate by 2013."

The company also announced this morning that it would raise a further £2.3m through a share placing.
