Capital puts Radio Cafés up for sale

Capital Radio is ready to sell off its last three Radio Café restaurants.

Earlier this month the company sold its site in Finchley Road, north London, to the Mezzanine group for an undisclosed sum.

Mezzanine is turning the former Radio Café into its second Smollensky's American-themed restaurant.

Capital is now seeking offers for its other three Radio Café sites, in London's Leicester Square, in Birmingham's Brindleyplace and in Southampton.

It is understood to have instructed property agent Davis Coffer Lyons to look for buyers, although no firm offers have yet been received.

Capital is said to be in no hurry to sell, but could dispose of the restaurants in the next two to three months if it is offered a good price.
