n THE Original Pudding Company, 230, has launched a variety of traditional dessert pies and tarts including Blueberry Pie and Sticky Gingerbread Tart. The cost is about 90p per portion.

n CHEESE, Mushroom and Mediterranean Vegetable are joining the Knorr Bouillon paste line up, 231.

n Ben Shaws has launched Pennine Hills, 232, its own line of still and sparkling mineral water in a range of PET bottles including 33cl, 50cl, 1.5 litre and two-litre sizes.

n A new vodka energy drink - Hi Energy Mix - is launched by Imperial Drinks Company, 233, in a 275ml aluminium bottle.

n The 1998 Vintage Vineyard Selection Dry Riesling, a new German dry wine, is the latest offering from the Kendermanns winery, 234, which won the Blue Gold meal for its 1997 Dry Riesling.

n The Restaurant Association, 235, has issued clear guidelines on genetically modified food labelling. They state the statutory requirements for restaurants and bars selling food containing GM soya or maize.
