Caterer and Hotelkeeper – 22067

Philipburn House Hotel in Selkirk, Borders, looks set to get a new lease of life after being nearly destroyed by fire last spring.

Restoration work costing hundreds of thousands of pounds is being carried out at the 16-bedroom hotel, which dates back to 1751. Five rooms are being completely refurbished and work is also being carried out in the restaurant, bar and kitchen areas. New conference facilities are also being built on to the hotel and the swimming pool area is being extended to become a full leisure centre.
