London hoteliers are anxious to counter American press reports that the capital is fully booked for the summer. The "no vacancies" rumours in the States have been fuelled by publicity surrounding the American Bar Association's summer visit. The ABA is bringing 15,000 lawyers and their families to its annual conference in London from July 15-20, and has contracted 7,000 rooms through American Express Travel Service. Hoteliers are concerned that this may convince other potential visitors in the States that hotel rooms in London will be impossible to obtain.
