Chambord launches Holly Golightly cocktail competition
French black raspberry liqueur Chambord has launched a nationwide cocktail competition to celebrate its sponsorship of forthcoming London West End production Breakfast at Tiffany's.
‘The Hunt for Holly' competition is aimed at professional bartenders and tasks them with the challenge of creating an official cocktail for the show.
Branded the Holly Golightly, the cocktail will be named after the protagonist of Truman Capote's original novella, from which the production has been adapted and should reflect her character and spirit.
The only requirements are that the cocktail incorporates Chambord and is presented in a Martini style glass.
The competition, held association with the United Kingdom Bartender's Guild (UKBG), will culminate in an eight strong on 15 September 15 at The Valmont Club, Chelsea.
Alex Turner of Bacardi Brown Forman, a representative from the UKBG and Colin Ingram, who is producing the show, will be among the panel of judges.
The winning barman will have their cocktail served to thousands of theatre goers and receive exclusive tickets to the show, which starts in September. They will also earn a weekend stay at the Cavendish Hotel, London, and a pre-theatre supper at Inamo, in Wardour Street.
