Chocolate dessert tops frozen food awards

"Spirit of Freedom" Wallace liqueur dessert from Aulds (Food) took the Catering Product of the Year title at the British Frozen Food Federation's (BFFF) Annual Awards, at London's Hilton Hotel.

The dessert - a real chocolate mousse with fresh cream, laced with Wallace liqueur in a cage of pure white chocolate - achieved top marks from the Cookery and Food Association judges.

They were specifically looking at appearance, ease of service, eating quality, suitability of packaging, clarity of preparation instructions, and value for money.

The awards, now in their 11th year, recognise excellence and innovation in retail and catering products. See the panel below for more results.
