City Pub Company to open Bristol site

The City Pub Company, comprising City Pub Company East (12 pubs) and City Pub Company West (8 pubs), is to open its first site in Bristol.

The new venue will be called the Prince Street Social, as part of the redeveloped Crown House building on Prince Street in the centre of the city adjacent to the historic Queen's Square.

The Company has signed an agreement to lease the ground floor of the building and will begin a refurbishment programme to create a modern food-led brasserie which will become part of City Pub Company West. It anticipates opening the new, 120-cover site in December 2015.

The Prince Street Social will offer food throughout the day in addition to wines, cocktails, local craft beers and draught ales.

Alex Derrick, CEO, City Pub Company West, said: "Bristol is an exciting city with a real buzz about it and we look forward to opening our first site there. While the brasserie will be more food-led compared to our current portfolio of exceptional pubs, it demonstrates our strategy of creating individual sites with real character and which offer something for every customer."
