Clermont Club sold for £31m

Grosvenor Casinos has agreed to sell the Clermont Club casino to BIL Gaming Operations UK for a sum of £31m.

The casino was acquired by Rank Group, the holding company of Grosvenor, in 1990 and is situated in Berkeley Square in London's West End.

Ian Burke, chief executive of Rank, said: "The sale of the Clermont Club is in line with our strategy of focusing on the mainstream gaming market, where we believe there is most to gain from changes to UK gambling regulations."
