Seminar on feeding Alzheimer's patients

The Alzheimer's Society has designed six seminars to help caterers, dietitians and care staff feed patients suffering from dementia. "Dementia can greatly affect a person's ability to eat and drink," said project manager Gwen Coleman. "Changes in behaviour, food habits or weight loss often make the task of providing food and ensuring an adequate amount is eaten difficult for care staff." The one-day events, which will cost £30 each, will be held in London between 3 and 18 February, in York between 9 and 23 February, and in Birmingham between 2 and 10 March.
