Dog hotel opens in San Francisco

A new hotel with a difference is to open in San Francisco that caters especially for dogs, not people.

The 240-room property, aptly entitled, The Wag Hotel, also offers its long-haired guests facials, hair styling room service as well as the joys of an indoor pool and 10,000sq ft roof garden.

Room prices range from $45 (£23) to $85 (£43) per night. Ritu Raj, the hotel's owner said he came up with the idea after boarding his dog in a posh kennel. He spent a reported $4m (£2m) developing the hotel.
