Enterprise gets the benefit of some Unique profits

Enterprise Inns reported a robust set of interim results this week.

The largest independent operator of leased and tenanted pubs in the UK announced pre-tax profits up 16% to £93m and operating profit up by 5% to £149m for the six months ended 31 March.

Enterprise, which now owns 9,000 outlets, sold 241 pubs to Admiral Taverns for £62m in April after acquiring the Unique Pub Company in March for £2.6b. The company said the results included the 16% share (£19m) of Unique's profits that the company owned prior to the March purchase.
