ETM Group to open Ealing Park Tavern
London pub company the ETM Group is to open a new gastropub named Ealing Park Tavern in London's south Ealing.
Expected to open in late-December, the 5,000 sq ft, 60-cover site will be the 13th opening for the group, and will feature a large bar area, two private events spaces, and a garden.
Set within the former Lewis Furnell Brewhouse, which brewed its own beer from 1728 until the 1800s, the restaurant is undergoing extensive refurbishment, and will also include its own new microbrewery, in a nod to the building's past.
The menu will include classic bar snacks as well as lunch and dinner, plus a Sunday lunch offering, created using produce sourced from UK farms and suppliers. Average spend is expected to be £35 per person. There will also be a wine list with over 100 wines, including options from an Enomatic wine dispenser, plus cocktails, ciders and bottled lagers.
The brewery will make and sell its own beers, including bitters and pale ales, also supplying other ETM venues such as the Jugged Hare near the Barbican and the Gun, Docklands. The pub will then employ a special brewmaster who will offer brewery tours, tastings, and food and beer matching dinners.
Décor within the pub will include a polished wood bar, reclaimed timber floors, a "theatre" kitchen behind a smoked glass screen, red leather banquettes and tub chairs.
Group co-founder Tom Martin said: "We are extremely excited about this launch and to be brewing our own ales for the very first time. Ealing Park Tavern will be very much a neighbourhood pub serving food, drink and service, as well as an ever-evolving roster of events."
The group's other venues include One Canada Square in Canary Wharf, and the Botanist on Sloane Square, central London.
