Food and Fuel buys Prince of Wales in Putney

London-based pub and bar operator Food and Fuel has bought the Prince of Wales in Putney, London, from pub company Etive.

The deal for the tied leasehold business, which was for an undisclosed sum, takes Food and Fuel's estate to 11 sites.

Food and Fuel is owned by former Spirit chief executive Karen Jones. She founded the business with the help of Roger Myers, with whom she founded the Café Rouge chain.

The deal leaves Etive, founded by Freddie Fleming and Ollie Pudney, with one site - the Bull and Last in Highgate.
