Former Sodexho chief joins Regus

DAVID FORD, former chief executive of contract caterer Sodexho in the UK and Ireland, has joined serviced office company Regus as chief executive for the UK and Ireland.

Regus is a multinational organisation that offers fully equipped offices and meeting rooms for hire.

Ford's departure from Sodexho in April had been predicted for some time. Insiders claimed it was the result of a difference of cultures between the English and French sides of the business. The company said he had left in order to "pursue other interests".

He had been chief executive of Sodexho for nearly five years.

Last week Sodexho made up to 70 people redundant following poor sales figures for the nine months to 31 May.
