Four top south-west chefs saddle up for Hospitality Action polo day
Four top chefs from the South-west have teamed up to prepare dishes at Hospitality Action's second annual polo day.
Hywel Jones of Lucknam Park, Sam Moody of Bath Priory, Michael Croft of Calcot Manor and Martin Burge of Whatley Manor will be creating a three-course lunch for attendees at Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire on Sunday 11 September.
It is hoped the event will top the £30,000 raised at last year's polo day.
All attendees will enjoy a Champagne reception on the lawns of the club before lunch prepared by the four chefs including half a bottle of wine per person. Grandstand seats will be reserved for guests to watch the Sidebottom Cup before ending the day with an afternoon cream tea.
Croft, Calcot Manor's chef-director, said: "Our polo day in September will see great team work in aid of Hospitality Action both on and off the field. The polo teams of four players coming together for this very special one-off occasion will be echoed in the kitchen by a team of four ‘high-goal' chefs pulling alongside one another also!"
Tickets are £90 per person or £850 for a table of 10.
