Geronimo to open pop-up pub the Calf on 1 June at Westfield Stratford
Pub group Geronimo Inns is to open its pop-up pub, the Calf, at the Westfield shopping centre in Stratford on 1 June.
The pub, which is the smaller sister site of the permanent Geronimo pub at Westfield Stratford, the Cow, will offer British produce, real ales and a selection of wines within minutes of the Olympic Park.
Geronimo founder Rupert Clevely (pictured) said: "I am extremely excited by our first pop-up pub, the Calf. Our challenge has been to create a warm, exciting and vibrant atmosphere in a cathedral-like space. We have achieved an exciting environment which will be fun, very different and visually spectacular, all within a limited budget. We open our doors on 1 June when lots of happy customers will be able to see it for themselves. We hugely value our relationship with Westfield, without which this would never have come about."
Geronimo Inns, which has 33 pubs in total, was acquired by Young's pub company in 2010 and still retains its own identity.
