Honeybuns is a small cake, cookie, shortbread and flapjack supplier based in Dorset, which until recently was delivering its home-baked goodies by bike. The company has now grown, however, and offers some 40 varieties, but it still keeps to very strict standards and is a previous winner of the Supreme Champion Award at the Great Taste Awards. Its Heathcliffe brownie is made with Valrhona chocolate (70% cocoa content), blended with Belgian dark and milk chocolate, a dash of espresso, and ground almonds rather than wheat flour - making it naturally gluten-free. The recipe also includes the zest (removed by hand to avoid the bitter pith) of Valencia oranges. The company also offers other gluten- and wheat-free products.
