Good London trading boosts Capital's turnover by 22%
Good trading conditions in London helped Capital Pub Company boost its turnover by 16% over the first 22 weeks of the current financial year compared with the same period last year.
The company said trading was also helped by the re-opening of the Victoria Inn (formerly the Wishing Well) in June 2010 following a refurbishment programme.
The Victoria Inn was one of four new pubs the firm took on this year, as it moves to expand its existing estate of 30 pubs.
It acquired the Black Swan in Cobham, Surrey and the Morgan Arms in Bow, London E3 last month and said initial trading in both sites was encouraging.
Later this month Capital will be opening a new pub, the Actress, in East Dulwich, London SE22.
