Great Eastern plans first openings for November

The Great Eastern Hotel has announced that two of its restaurants will open in the second week of November.

The London hotel, a joint project between Conran Holdings and Arcadian Hotels, which has had £30m spent on refurbishment, is to open a 220-seat fine dining restaurant, the Aurora. The average bill per person, including wine, is expected to be £50.

The second restaurant, Terminus, is described by general manager Nicholas Rettie as a "fast and furious" bar and grill operation. The rest of the 266-bedroom hotel should open in late January or early February.
