HCIMA elects Laws president

Management consultant Vic Laws has been elected president of the Hotel & Catering International Management Association (HCIMA) for the next year.

Founder of Woking-based AVL Consultancy, which specialises in the food service sector of the hospitality industry, Laws has been vice-president of the association for the past 12 months.

He has served on the HCIMA council for six years, the executive for three, and is a former chairman of the international development committee. Laws, who takes over the presidency from Dr Nigel Hemmington, is also a past chairman of the HCIMA's Surrey branch.
