HIT Training partners with the Springboard Charity

Industry apprenticeship provider HIT Training has announced a partnership with the Springboard Charity.

The partnership will run for three years, ending in March 2020.

HIT Training will become a corporate patron and business partner of Springboard. This will unite both businesses, enabling them to focus on building the next generation of hospitality stars and help young adults find successful career paths.

It will also see HIT Training's involvement in the charity's core career initiatives including: the Ambassador programme; CareerScope; and the Kickstart Programme; as well as supporting its fundraising events and activities.

Jill Whittaker, managing director of HIT Training, said: "Through our partnership we will be working in unison with The Springboard Charity to raise awareness of the viable career paths in hospitality and break the stigmas around working in the industry.

"Supporting businesses within the hospitality sector, so they can successfully implement apprenticeship programmes to train and upskill their staff, is something we are passionate about. The industry is burgeoning and there are rewarding career opportunities for young adults from all walks of life and, together with The Springboard Charity, we want to get this message out there."

Anne Pierce, chief executive of the Springboard Charity, said: "We are committed to supporting young people, unemployed and those with barriers to work into sustainable employment within the hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors. We're delighted to be working with HIT Training, the largest provider of hospitality apprenticeships, and our partnership reflects our trust that real quality will be delivered."

Founded in 2006, HIT has supported more than 100,000 people at over 22,000 sites across the UK, offering a range of apprenticeships and development schemes for people at all levels, from school-leavers to senior management.

The Springboard Charity helps young people achieve their potential, nurtures unemployed adults into work and helps alleviate poverty by supporting people into employment within the UK hospitality, leisure and tourism industry.
